Let me start by saying that I purchased this subwoofer for full price of almost $50. I am using it with a 600w amp, and I am running it on the “dynamic” prebuilt EQ. And I have to turn the power and the bass boost of the amp down to 75% in order to feel comfortable. This woofer is great, and for the current price of $26 I’m tempted to buy another just to have it. Using the “bass boost” setting in my cheap stereo can cause all mirrors to shake in time to da beat.I’ve used it with two amps: a decade-old 600w and a newer 400w. Both give great, full sound, and the 600w was too much at max settings so I turned it down. There was a lengthy break-in period for this woofer. I thought I had a lemon for several weeks because although there was certainly movement of the membrane and low undertones, the Kickers in my doors were producing louder sound. However, after a little bit more than two weeks the bass suddenly improved massively. However, I only drive about half an hour every day, so for some people the break-in period will be much shorter. In summary, if you have a solid sub box and an amp that can output up to 400w, this subwoofer is ideal, especially for the cost. I’ve only had mine for three months, and there is a definite breaking-in period, but after it broke itself in it’s exceptional.
